Yet another New Years Authentique!

Well here is yet another card.... I mentioned I loved this challenge sketch, right???

Yes this is more from the Gathering Collection. I also used their embellishments. Made things really easy! The thanks stamp is SU and some generic twine.
You have a few more days to enter this challenge!! I hope you have as much
fun with this as I have!!

Happy stamping!!

2012 is Almost here... But for now here's another Authentique card!

Yes another one!!

Paper is from the Gathering Collection and the saying is from the same collection on the Tabloid sheet.  Everything can be found on their blog by clicking the link above.
I used some bling and that same ribbon from PTI!
I did cut the bottom of the saying off and adhered it on an angle to the saying to add some different dimensions in there.  A also cut out a few more of the flowers and popped them up for that extra something! It's hard to see here but it looks great in person.

Happy Stamping!!

So here is another card I made.

More paper from the GATHERING collection. This time I cut out some of the flowers and put a pop up under it to give it that little something extra.

Summer Thank You

So I joined a summer card class and the first week has a color challenge.  I am really inspired by the amazing talent of the instructors and the participants.

So I decided to combine this with color challenge with Unity's Kit of the Month Challenge
They give you the sketch and you use a stamp(s) from the
MANY to choose from in the Kits we receive every month.

So this is what I came up with

This card is relatively easy to make, if you like to color.  That is really the only time consuming part.

I used
Papertray Paper - Spring Rain and Rasberry Fizz
Designer Paper - JilliBean Soup - Watermel Gaspacho
Markers - Copics, Spica and Slingo White Gell
Die - Spellbinders
Stamps - June Kit of the Month-  Unity Stamp Company

There you have it!
Enjoy and have a great SUMMER!!!

till next time

Well today is my birthday. I sooooo don't feel my age.
I still feel 28, not 38.
Life is good and getting better every day!

Today I am going to share a card I made for the Kit of the Month challenge.

I am loving the colors!

I used copic glitter pens to color the cake and then ranger pearls for the base.  I used my Jillibean Soup paper that I LOVE!!

Make sure to check out the amazing talent over at the Unity Blog!

You can also get in on the action and get your Kit every month.

Happy Birthday Girl Friend!

Well I haven't had a whole lot of time in the craft room.

You see it's in my basement and my husband is re-doing our hardwood floors right now in our kitchen.
No kitchen means no easy access to the basement.

If I want to go down stairs I have to go out the front door walk around and in through the back.
Not much fun with these crummy days we have been having.

I did get some in this past weekend though and that is what I am going to share with you.

This is one of my new Itty Bitty's that is also co-branded with Cosmo Cricket.
I love this stamp and was so excited to use it with Cosmo's paper.
You can get this great stamp over at Unity
Isn't it just great!!

I hope you have a great weekend and I hope the weather stays warm so I can walk to my basement.

Last day of Spring Break is great with Friends with Flair!!

Happy Friday to the cyber craft world. Today is the last day of my spring break and let me tell you I sure could get used to this. Crafting at any time of the day for however long I want. I have been telling my husband that he needs a better job so I can stay home. He's not so sure about that.

Anyway have you checked out My Unity Place yet?
It was such a great idea for them to put us all in one place.

For today's card I incorporated 2 of Unity's challenges. The bird challenge which is on Unity's website and the second is the Inside and Out challenge found @ My Unity Place

Here you have it!
the outside of the card...

and the inside of the card!

I used some great stuff to make this card.

and Ippity stamp that you can get from me
I absolutely LOVE those birds.  I use them in so many cards from Birthday to just because.

More goodies on this card include
This great paper that I just bought at a local craft store by Collage Press called Hometown Summer

The letters are from Adorn it.  I got those from my lss for only .99.  Love them!
I used some blue chalk ink and black archival ink on the dog and birds.
I colored using my Prismacolor pencils.

There you have it! I hope you like it!
Have a wonderful Friday and a very blessed Easter!

Spring Break is in Full Swing!

Since I have extra time with being on spring break I though I would post a couple of my cards that got the big "REJECT" from Paper Crafts magazine.  The competition is pretty fierce out there so I didn't take it personally.  I am happy with all but one card so enjoy.

Both of these cards were created from sketches.  Both use Unity stamps.

Hope you are enjoying your week.

So there are the letters...
and here is the bag and card that I made to go with it.

a little close up of the flower I made
And the matching card.

It was a big hit.

Happy Hip Hop Friday!!

So I decided to attempt a video tutorial but it ended up being 11 minutes long so hence no tutorial yet!!
Just because there is no tutorial doesn't mean I can't show you what I made.

The first attempt was this card.

Sorry it's not the best photo in the world but for now it will have to do.

I used Unity/Echo Park Stamp set Boys will be Boys along with the Echo Park paper in that line.
My paper is PI along with my ribbon.
Here is that great stamp set!
and check out this paper!!

So then I tried another card - First I made it and then I videoed a second one... which one do you prefer?

Here is the first one I made. I used all 4 of the challenges for this month's ippity challenge.

Here I decided to try a different route and made the red layer1 and embossed the black with white ep.
I used my copic glitter pens on both.

So which one do you prefer?

Well don't forget to check out the current sales over at Unity
and if...
you prefer to get your hands on some Ippity - I am happy to help you with that!!

So there you have it... I don't think I will be posting the video. I think I will try again and see what happens.

Have a great weekend and make sure to check out all of the talent - you can get that list here!!!

Ippity is hosting a weekly challenge - 4 for the month and
yes there is a big ol' prize at the end!

So here are the weekly challenges

This card I made with the inspiration photo on my mind.

I used these great stamp sets
and this set -

The large heart is from the Tim Holtz line I used some white paint and brushed it onto the edges to give it that softer look.

If you like these stamps you can get them from me.

have a great day!!!
