Hippity {ippity} Hop is the way to bounce!

Happy Monday.... a little birthday card for the Hopping today!

Happy Monday all! I missed last week but was sure not to miss this weeks {ippity} Hop!
I used Life's Little Moments set for this card and the great designer paper that they have to offer. My other paper is all SU along with the ribbon and glitter. I used a glue pen on the "H" and then sprinkled it with green glitter. My girlfriend who is my left arm at work asked me for some birthday cards. I told her that she should circle the Date to give it a personal touch. I made another one in more manly colors too!

Have fun hippty {ippity} hopping along today! Make sure to check out the list of all the great talent showcased today!

A Peaceful Christmas for an {Ippity} Challenge

I made this card using my new {ippity} stamps. I am selling these amazing stamps and you can get yours right here.

I used the Kissmas and Mistletoe set. This set is way to cute and is only $15.

I also used some of Unity's Designer Paper which you can get free when purchasing stamp sets from me. Yeah FREE!

My other paper was SU real red and green galore. My ribbon is also SU. The star is from ranger and it is 1/4" thick. I covered it in SU glitter. I tried the chunky glitter first and it didn't work. It made the star look like a big chunky glittery thing. My punch is from Martha which makes ribbon threading a breeze. The fun scallop punch is a new Martha punch too.

I cut out my trees after embossing them with white embossing powder and adhered the right and left one with adhesive and the center one with dimensionals. I also embossed the snow flakes and peace sentiment with my stamps from this same amazing set! As you can see I used white embossing powder.

I am really happy with how this card turned out and would love to hear what you think!

Happy Thursday and don't forget to check back tomorrow for Unity's Friends with Flair! Who knows... there might be something in it for you too!

Another Great Friday with Unity Friends!

It is late Thursday night as I type this so I apologize for the not including details. I made this card for the family of one of my students (a 7th grade boy). His father passed away Tuesday. I don't like the sympathy cards that are all sad and stuff. Dying is about celebrating ones life and I felt this card was appropriate. I hope you like it. I will try to add more details later.

Here are some more of the details -
My paper is from Michael's and I believe it is K & Co but it's at home and I am at school right now. :)
More importantly the stamp is from Unity of course - it is the from the Quote Bundle Pack which is 50% off right now! This set is a must have for anyone who loves quotes!!

The butterfly (large) is a sizzix die from SU and the little ones are from a Martha Stewart punch. I used misc. bling that I have in my stash. The cordoroy button is SU and the flower is Making memories (I think).

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments! They are truely apprecited.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! A little Unity to make the day better!

Happy Friday all! It's Friends with Flair Unity Style! Make sure to start from Angela's blog because you don't want to miss anyone. Okay... you don't want to miss an opportunity to WIN some free Unity!

Today my Unity Friends I share with you a card using my Unity November KOM. Can I say, I LOVE IT!! The Kit of the Month is a must have and the deal of the century! One amazing kit... NO commitments... and for only $29.95 a month (yes that includes shipping)!!! I was so excited when I received it in the mail on Wednesday. I started a card right away but just wasn't happy with it. Maybe I will go back to it this weekend.

I am super happy with this final product. I just love both of these stamps. This girl is just one of the three on the stamp. And how about this Hepburn quote; it is way to fun! My layout was inspired from a card that I found in my cards magazine that I am getting online. I used my copics for the coloring (can you see the cute green olives in my martini?). I also used my SU inks for the stamping. I stamped my girl in creamy caramel and the quote in melon mambo. I also used the melon mambo around the girl and chocolate around the quote to add some depth. For her dress I used the same dp as I did for the squares. This is a 5 x 5 card by the way. I pierced holes around the center square for some extra detail and here you have it!

I apologize for the poor photo but I am having a hard time taking photos lately. You can see from the the photo that I added a little pearl to purse and some of the flowers and lastly under Hepburn.

I really hope you have a great weekend and break a couple of rules while you're at it!
Make sure to check out the great 50% off sale going on at Unity!

The tree comes from the Tiny Trinity set, The Blessings saying comes from the Birdie Inspiration set and the polka dots is from the Distressed Dot stamp. My paper is kraft and Basic Grey's Indian Summer. My buttons were my late grandma's and the ribbon is Making Memories. I used all my wonderful chalk pads for the tree and saying!

Another Great Friday with Unity Flair with Friends!

Happy Friday! It has been a crazy week which is the main reason I haven't been able to post. I have had something to do after work every day. I was happy to come home and see the my new order arrived! Super excited actually because the one weekend only sets were in that box! I decided to have a go at them for my Unity Friends Flair! ! !

Here we have my first card. I used SU ribbon and paper and Basic Grey Lime Rickey DP. I of course used Unity stamps. This cute little apron is from the new Kitchen Logic set. I picked out the "thinking of you" from another Unity set.

My 2nd card is K & Co. Paper which I love along with some cream and kraft from SU (the ribbon is SU too). I used my new chalk inks on this WONDERFUL new Grow yourself Extraordinary.

Well it's late and I have school in the morning. I hope you like my cards. I'm pretty happy how they came out.

Have a wonderful FRIDAY!!!

Keep Rockin' with Friends with Flair on FRIDAY!!!

Here is 2 sketches 4 You weekly sketch. It was the basis for my card. I found this stamp at hobby lobby the other day and just knew how great it would go with my guitar from my October Kit of the month from Unity. I used SU and Basic Grey paper. I tried out my new ColorBox chalk inks which I found at Tuesday Morning for 99. What a bargain! I ended up buying every color they had which was 10 pads. Full size pads for 99 cents you just can't pass that up. The next day I went to Hobby Lobby where I picked up this cute stamp and bought two Basic Grey collection packs, Lemonade and Lime Ricky for only $9-. Yes another bargain!!! Just gotta love bargains.

.......

I am in a bit of funk and had a hard time making this card but it works. For me, it doesn't WOW me but when I read that quote, I smile. :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Design Team call with a little Basic Grey to mix it up!

Here they are.... the sketches for the 2 sketches 4 you design team call.

This is what I came up... my first card I used my Folk Inspired set by Unity Stamp Company. I also used my Lemonade Basic Grey paper for all but the stamped image which is stamped on white and colored with my copics. I then took one of my inchies and stamped that and colored that and adhered it with pop ups. I also cut out the whole clock and glued it the patterned paper from Basic Grey. I used some of my copic spica glitter pens and other gel pens to give it a little more bling. I am also entering this little card into the Basic Grey challenge. They are having a color challenge. Use Red, Blue and Green.

Can you see the sparkly pens I used for the detail? What do you think?

Here is my other card. I really wanted to use fabric on my cards so I decided to use it on my elephant. I used my Papertrey Ink Bitty Baby stamp set. My background is Worn Dots from Unity. I am really lovin' this set lately. My paper is all SU along with my ribbon, brad and punch used. The twine was thin but I twisted it 3 times to make is thicker. I am really happy with how this card turned out. I plan on making a set of thank you cards with the elephant as part of a gift for my cousin-in-laws who are having a baby. You always need thank you cards when your first baby arrives right? I'm sure they will love them which makes it that much more fun to make.

Here is a close up of the elephant. The ear is fabric that looks like news print.

And of course a close up of the Happy New Baby, also from the Bitty Baby set.

Well there you have it. My 2 cards that I submitted to the DT call. I hope you like them.
Happy Wednesday ALL!

Rock on with me.... Unity Style!

Happy Friday!!! Friends with flair here we are!!! For the first time ever I am participating in Unity's Friends with Flair! I was also able to incorporate Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite color challenge and The Pink Elephant's weekly challenge which just happened to be a sketch. Make sure to check it out! . Better than that I was able to use my UNITY OCTOBER KIT OF THE MONTH!!!!

Here are the copics I used to color my card Rock On Card

I also used PI's paper (the green, pink and brown) while the kraft and vanilla are SU. The awesome stamps are UNITY of course. These are from the October KOM. I used my fiskars punch for the fancy edge and used the SU build a brads and bright delight rub-ons. I also used two of Unity's background stamps, the distressed dots and worn grid.

This card just makes me want to sing. I added the 1,2,3 because it made me think of a band warming up... 1... 2... 1,2,.3... ROCK ON!

This adorable card show cases the KOM stamps!!! Don't you just love them. The clouds are from the July Kit and this adorable plane and banner are from this months kit. I used some of the paper left over with the distressed dots wove in some string stamped the images on Basic Grey paper and there you have it.

Make sure to check out Unity's Fall Garage Sale which is happening ALL weekend!! Deals that you just can't pass up!

Have a ROCKIN' Friday and Happy hopping!

Happy Fall Y'All!

Copics, pumpkins and coloring... what a wonderful thing. I really love coloring with my copics and when I came across this GREAT copic challenge at Copic Creations. I couldn't wait to get started. I didn't realize that I had a pumpkin stamp until after I bought this digital stamp.

The copics I used are seen in this photo.

Here is my finished product. I used the Basic Grey challenge for the sketch. I also kept The Pink Elephant challenge in mind as it is all about FALL!!!

I used my Stampin Up paper for my solids and my Basic Grey for my designer paper, stampin up vellum, my copics as you can see above. The Happy Thanksgiving stamp is from SU too! I used a stamp set from PTI to put the poke a dots on my two small pieces of ribbon.

This sketch from the Basic Grey challenge was a tough one for me. I am really happy with my end product. I hope it can send some inspiration your way.

Happy Friday!!

Happy Friday folks! Boy has this been a crazy week at school and I am soooo happy that it is Friday! Without further ado here is another card I created this week. This card I made with the Color Throwdown colors in mind. As you can see the colors are basic grey, old olive, rich razzelberry and really rust. I used both the paper and inks from SU in the listed colors. My stamps are from Papertrey Ink and the other set name I will have to get back to you on. I can't think of it off the top of my head and I am not at home. Sorry.
When I started this card I had no idea what I was going to do. I started by simply stamping the background onto the rust and razzelberry papers. I then cut out my card and started cutting my stamped papers to match. Next thing you know I have cut out the basic grey, decided on some stamps pulled out my nestabilites and poof!!! Here you have it. My card. If I could go back and change one thing, I would have stamped the sentiment in a darker color. We live and learn right!
Let me know what you think... your feedback is appreciate!
Have a wonderful Friday and an even better Saturday!

Go Ahead Wish!

Here are the challenges that I used in this card.

I am SO happy with how this card turned out. This stamp is from the Unity September’s club kit. My paper is from Unity's September Scrapper's kit. I used some paper flowers and a build a brad from SU to make my flowers. My ink is all SU, chocolate chip, real red, very vanilla, and Bermuda bay. I used the Sweet sketch Wednesday sketch for my lay out and my color combo is this week’s Dawn McVey's color challenge.

I have to admit that when I put these colors together I was a bit unsure of how they would turn out. I love chocolate and kraft so that didn't worry me to much but when I added the red... I thought there was no way this was going to work. Luckily for me I found this fab paper which is double sided and had a place to start.
I hope you like it as much as I do! Please let me know what you think. I love feeback!
