Happy Friday!!

Happy Friday folks! Boy has this been a crazy week at school and I am soooo happy that it is Friday! Without further ado here is another card I created this week. This card I made with the Color Throwdown colors in mind. As you can see the colors are basic grey, old olive, rich razzelberry and really rust. I used both the paper and inks from SU in the listed colors. My stamps are from Papertrey Ink and the other set name I will have to get back to you on. I can't think of it off the top of my head and I am not at home. Sorry.
When I started this card I had no idea what I was going to do. I started by simply stamping the background onto the rust and razzelberry papers. I then cut out my card and started cutting my stamped papers to match. Next thing you know I have cut out the basic grey, decided on some stamps pulled out my nestabilites and poof!!! Here you have it. My card. If I could go back and change one thing, I would have stamped the sentiment in a darker color. We live and learn right!
Let me know what you think... your feedback is appreciate!
Have a wonderful Friday and an even better Saturday!

Go Ahead Wish!

Here are the challenges that I used in this card.

I am SO happy with how this card turned out. This stamp is from the Unity September’s club kit. My paper is from Unity's September Scrapper's kit. I used some paper flowers and a build a brad from SU to make my flowers. My ink is all SU, chocolate chip, real red, very vanilla, and Bermuda bay. I used the Sweet sketch Wednesday sketch for my lay out and my color combo is this week’s Dawn McVey's color challenge.

I have to admit that when I put these colors together I was a bit unsure of how they would turn out. I love chocolate and kraft so that didn't worry me to much but when I added the red... I thought there was no way this was going to work. Luckily for me I found this fab paper which is double sided and had a place to start.
I hope you like it as much as I do! Please let me know what you think. I love feeback!

I just can't get enough, I just can't get enough!

...of Basic Grey products and challenges!

Here is another card created from the Basic Grey Eerie collection. I simply took a 5x5 folded pc of white card stock and started adding the stickers. This is what I came up with. I also heat embossed the pumpkin to give it a more realistic look. ~ Happy Harvest~

Trio of Challenges!

I am just loving my new Basic Grey papers and the new September kit from Unity. Things are a bit on the rough side in everyday life so I have been immersing myself in my crafts when I get home from school. I like to take a look at the challenges every week that I follow and then just go for it. Sometimes the get combined and sometimes they don't. This card here ended up being a trio of challenges. I was initially creating this card for the 2 sketches 4 You challenge but in the back of my mind I was keeping the Pink Elephant challenge requirements in mind. The Pink Elephant required you to have dots, a punch and a tag. Lastly I have been using my new Basic Grey papers and they have a challenge right now - embossing! When I took a look at my finished card I realized I ended up implementing all three challenges. Good thing I didn't combine a color challenge into this because I think I would have lost my mind.

The details....
Stamps include Unity September Kit of the month
Papers are Stampin Up Razzelberry and Vanilla, along with Basic Grey's new Indian Summer DP
The inks were versa mark for the heat embossing on the polka dots, Razzelberry on the inside sentiment and Unity's new brown. I used my copics to color in my pumpkin.
My embellishments include ribbon from SU.

I really like the way this card turned out. It helps that I am in love with this paper. I hope you like it! Have a great one!

Basic Grey Challenge Bannanza

I have had soooo much fun with my new Basic Grey Eerie paper collection. The new bunch of posts are going to be for the Basic Grey challenge ~ embossing. This has been a blast as my own personal challenge was creating without any Halloween stamps. I am really happy with how my cards turned out.

It is difficult to see in this photo but I embossed the letters with clear embossing powder and the bat with dazzling diamonds. I also embossed the orange paper with one of the new plates from SU.

Which one do you prefer? I love to hear what you think!

A Batty Halloween!

I just put this card together for The Pink Elephant challenge. They used a sketch challenge this week. I used Basic Grey and SU Papers, making memories letters and the bat is from the Basic Grey Eerie collection as is the dp. I dry embossed the orange paper and also heat embossed the bat with crystal effects.

I hope you like it. I know this isn't a good picture but my camera went dead. I will replace it with a better one tomorrow.
Well I changed out the photo for a better one. I am also submitting this for the Basic Grey Challenge. You should check it out. You had to eboss.
