Simon Says Challenge

Today I decided to try out the Simon Says Challenge! I have been wanting to decorate photo mats. When I saw this layout I thought.... this is it. So here is what I did. My stamp sets are from Papertrey Ink, Unity, Hero Arts and Stampin Up!. The ink is memento and Stampin Up. Paper is from Unity and Carolyn Gavin (@Michaels). I really like the way they turned out... what about you?

Unity Bachelor Challenge

So the details for the UNITY BACHELOR CHALLENGE this week were to make an invitation for a DATE with the GUY YOU LOVE.....{or "Bro"} - Whichever YOU prefer. Bro's FAVORITE COLORS are: BLACK - RED - GREEN

So what I decided to do was use my Unity stamps of course. The first one that came to mind was the Whiskey, Beer or Wine because who doesn't like to get together and relax with a good drink, alcoholic or not. The paper is SU, black, and dp from Basic Grey (I think). The ribbon is making memories and ink Tuskeno black. There it is and it took about 10 minutes to make.

The Movie card was created using Unity Frame this Alpha set and stamps from the now sold out Le Chic Vintage set. I used white card and designer paper, my black ink, a red button and clear dew drops. I put black circles on the card stock and put the dew drops over it to make them appear black.

I hope you like them. Simple yet inviting.

Tons of fun with challenges

I made this card with 3 challenges in mind! I can't believe I did it. The three challenges are from The Pink Elephant ~ a school theme. The Color Throw down where the colors were Bermuda bay, green galore and barely banana. Lastly I used the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Here are the deets!
Stamps include (background) Unity stamps from School Rock Star and the apples are from Hero Arts.
Inks and paper all from SU! are Bermuda Bay, Green Galore and Barely Banana.

Ribbon is SU from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Scallop Square punch is SU.

So what did I do....
I stamped my card with the stamps from Unity to create my background. I then stamped my apples with my hero arts stamps and then punched them out using the SU scallop square punch. I then punched the green galore squares. I used dimensionals to pop us the apples. I adhered the apples to the card using regular old adhesive. I added the ribbon, tied it then used a thank you stamp from Unity and SU Bermuda bay ink to stamp the sentiment.

I hope you like it. Being a teacher by trade I would love to receive this card.

Happy Sunday and I hope you have had a great weekend!
