School work, School work
Well school work is keeping me from crafting. I have so much to do to get organized I have stated taking it home... yuck! This takes away from "my" time which I so desprately need. Hopefully I will get back to crafting on days other than the weekends soon. Sorry I don't have anything to share. I am hoping to partake in 2s4u, the color challenge, sweet sketch wednesday, Mojo Monday and the pink elephant. We shall see... Have a great Thursday.

Bridget on her Baptismal Day!
Here are some photos from Bridget's big day! This is my favorite one of all. This smile is enough to melt your heart!

This is a great group shot with my sisters. My sister Annmarie, the gp, is the oldest, then Karen (Bridget's mom) and then me.

This is my favorite pic of my wonderful husband. I just loved the backdrop that was on the alter so we took advantage of it and shot our pictures from here.

This is my honey and our niece Fiona, she is 7 months old and the best baby ever!

This one is my mom and Michael and Fiona. It was a wonderful and beautiful day.

Can't forget about the godparents... here is my sister Annmarie and her husband Mike. Mike loves bunnies and found Bridget's bunny ears. I couldn't help but take the picture. Nothing like a little bit of fun to put the icing on the day!
I hope you had a great Tuesday and enjoyed the pics.

Back to school!
Well I am back to school and things are crazy!!! As a special ed resource teacher the first thing on our list to create the schedule that we will use to see kids. This is a huge undertaking and very time consuming. I am dying to get into my craft area as I was also away at the in-laws this weekend so I wasn't able to do anything this weekend.
This card, surprisingly was made as a get well card. Aaron (dh) asked me to make a get well card for him for a guy friend of his. I mentioned this great stamp that I have and he was all over it. It worked out great considering he gave him a case of beer as a gift. It says get well soon on the inside. I used all SU paper. The stamp is from Unity Stamp Co. and the ink is memento black. The dew drops are a generic that I bought from Stamping Bella.

Julie & Julia 4 stars!!! Two thumbs up!
I went to see Julie and Julia last night and I loved it. My husband is the one who cooks in our home, not me. I could relate to this film on a number of different levels. Aaron (my husband) has tried a number of French dishes and they are wonderful. He also wants to make castle a (spelling ??). He is an amazing chef especially since he has never been formally trained. We like to entertain so he can share his creations with others as I have a limited palate. Although he has opened my taste buds to new and interesting items. I can't tell ya how lucky it is to have a man in the house who loves to cook.
If you are a person who just wants a good movie that happens to be based on the lives of 2 women this is a must go to film. Julie is a wonderful character that I am sure many people, men and women alike can relate to. I have been in her shoes of not liking my job as I think most people have. At times it is refreshing to go to a film that is just a good hearted film. Nothing about the end of the world, or crazy sex scenes or even obscene language. Just a good movie that for once was worth the $18.50 it cost in tickets.
If you decide to go see it. Let me know what you think. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

For now I am off to create my guest design team challenge items and some splitcoast challenges that I can enter into the Thursday Hip Hop to win free stamps. While you are off to Unity... Unity's August Guest Designer Challenge
I am so excited about the latest Unity Guest Designer Challenge. I was hoping to get started tonight but I spent it cleaning. I tend to leave things to the last minute. I still have the bedroom and our basement (which it includes my craft area). I hope to do something tomorrow and then post it here for you to see. Good night for now!

The last of the anniversary gifts
Here is the final project. This is the cover of the card set I made for them. It was done all digitally. The back of the card has a little statement on it that includes my name and info. Seeing they were going to be getting gifts for their anniversary I figured they would need some Thank You cards to send out. Now there is no need to go and purchase some at the store.
The bottom says "Two simple words that mean so much... Thank You". I adjusted it from one of my Stampin Up Stamps. Well my husband did :) I love the way it turned out because the words look like a rolling hill that the tree sits on.
Off to clean the house. I am doing some tutoring this week and I need that dining room table.

Happy Monday all!! Here are the deets to my picture frame that I made as a gift for a 30th wedding anniversary. I am happy with how it turned out. Best of all was that Kathy and Phil just love it. Seeing the reaction on the receivers face makes it all worth while for me. Happy 30th Kathy and Phil!!! You guys are the best!
Here is a close up of the word family. I purchased these little tiles from Michael's. I pressed them on a memento ink pad to give them a little bit of color. I used the ribbon from Stampin Up to string them all together.
Here is the close up of the flowers. These are from my Basic Gray pack. They worked out great.
And of course the finished product. I am really happy with the little picket fence. I picked those up at Michael's too for .25 each. Well worth it.

Crazy busy weekend but here is what I have been up to.

Well I haven't posted because I have been busy creating some gifts for a friends 30th Wedding anniversary party. I am really happy with how everything turned out. This is one of the three things I have created. I used Stampin Up retired paper on all of it. This was originally an unfinished wood pc. I added paper to all of the letters and sanded them. I also had the cork stickers which I used for the word family and the est. 1979. The little flowers were K & Company dimension stickers that I picked up at Tuesday Mornings. There was a lot of sanding in this project but it was all worth it!
