Rock on with me.... Unity Style!

Happy Friday!!! Friends with flair here we are!!! For the first time ever I am participating in Unity's Friends with Flair! I was also able to incorporate Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite color challenge and The Pink Elephant's weekly challenge which just happened to be a sketch. Make sure to check it out! . Better than that I was able to use my UNITY OCTOBER KIT OF THE MONTH!!!!

Here are the copics I used to color my card Rock On Card

I also used PI's paper (the green, pink and brown) while the kraft and vanilla are SU. The awesome stamps are UNITY of course. These are from the October KOM. I used my fiskars punch for the fancy edge and used the SU build a brads and bright delight rub-ons. I also used two of Unity's background stamps, the distressed dots and worn grid.

This card just makes me want to sing. I added the 1,2,3 because it made me think of a band warming up... 1... 2... 1,2,.3... ROCK ON!

This adorable card show cases the KOM stamps!!! Don't you just love them. The clouds are from the July Kit and this adorable plane and banner are from this months kit. I used some of the paper left over with the distressed dots wove in some string stamped the images on Basic Grey paper and there you have it.

Make sure to check out Unity's Fall Garage Sale which is happening ALL weekend!! Deals that you just can't pass up!

Have a ROCKIN' Friday and Happy hopping!

Happy Fall Y'All!

Copics, pumpkins and coloring... what a wonderful thing. I really love coloring with my copics and when I came across this GREAT copic challenge at Copic Creations. I couldn't wait to get started. I didn't realize that I had a pumpkin stamp until after I bought this digital stamp.

The copics I used are seen in this photo.

Here is my finished product. I used the Basic Grey challenge for the sketch. I also kept The Pink Elephant challenge in mind as it is all about FALL!!!

I used my Stampin Up paper for my solids and my Basic Grey for my designer paper, stampin up vellum, my copics as you can see above. The Happy Thanksgiving stamp is from SU too! I used a stamp set from PTI to put the poke a dots on my two small pieces of ribbon.

This sketch from the Basic Grey challenge was a tough one for me. I am really happy with my end product. I hope it can send some inspiration your way.

Trio of Challenges!

I am just loving my new Basic Grey papers and the new September kit from Unity. Things are a bit on the rough side in everyday life so I have been immersing myself in my crafts when I get home from school. I like to take a look at the challenges every week that I follow and then just go for it. Sometimes the get combined and sometimes they don't. This card here ended up being a trio of challenges. I was initially creating this card for the 2 sketches 4 You challenge but in the back of my mind I was keeping the Pink Elephant challenge requirements in mind. The Pink Elephant required you to have dots, a punch and a tag. Lastly I have been using my new Basic Grey papers and they have a challenge right now - embossing! When I took a look at my finished card I realized I ended up implementing all three challenges. Good thing I didn't combine a color challenge into this because I think I would have lost my mind.

The details....
Stamps include Unity September Kit of the month
Papers are Stampin Up Razzelberry and Vanilla, along with Basic Grey's new Indian Summer DP
The inks were versa mark for the heat embossing on the polka dots, Razzelberry on the inside sentiment and Unity's new brown. I used my copics to color in my pumpkin.
My embellishments include ribbon from SU.

I really like the way this card turned out. It helps that I am in love with this paper. I hope you like it! Have a great one!

A Batty Halloween!

I just put this card together for The Pink Elephant challenge. They used a sketch challenge this week. I used Basic Grey and SU Papers, making memories letters and the bat is from the Basic Grey Eerie collection as is the dp. I dry embossed the orange paper and also heat embossed the bat with crystal effects.

I hope you like it. I know this isn't a good picture but my camera went dead. I will replace it with a better one tomorrow.
Well I changed out the photo for a better one. I am also submitting this for the Basic Grey Challenge. You should check it out. You had to eboss.

Tons of fun with challenges

I made this card with 3 challenges in mind! I can't believe I did it. The three challenges are from The Pink Elephant ~ a school theme. The Color Throw down where the colors were Bermuda bay, green galore and barely banana. Lastly I used the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Here are the deets!
Stamps include (background) Unity stamps from School Rock Star and the apples are from Hero Arts.
Inks and paper all from SU! are Bermuda Bay, Green Galore and Barely Banana.

Ribbon is SU from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Scallop Square punch is SU.

So what did I do....
I stamped my card with the stamps from Unity to create my background. I then stamped my apples with my hero arts stamps and then punched them out using the SU scallop square punch. I then punched the green galore squares. I used dimensionals to pop us the apples. I adhered the apples to the card using regular old adhesive. I added the ribbon, tied it then used a thank you stamp from Unity and SU Bermuda bay ink to stamp the sentiment.

I hope you like it. Being a teacher by trade I would love to receive this card.

Happy Sunday and I hope you have had a great weekend!
