Friday with Spring in the Air! Love it!

Happy Friday!

It's time again for a Unity Blog Hop!
Speaking of Unity... I have been creating my little heart out using my Unity Stamps.
Why?
Well I work at a charter school as a resource teacher.  We don't receive 100% funding from the District we teach in so we have to have fundraisers.  Every 2 years we have a silent and live auction.  All of the live items are created by students. Our silent auction items are several other things.  I decided to make some cards using my wonderful Unity Stamps for the silent auction.  What a great way to get my work out there, right?

So I went onto Splitcoast to look for inspiration and boy did I ever find it.
I pulled out old stamps (screaming to be used) and used my NEW stamps too!
I hope you are inspired!

Here they are.... I used a mix between PTI and SU paper.

Let me know what you think. You comments are feedback are much appreciated!
Make sure to check out all of the talent as you will be INSPIRED!!

Happy Friday!!!

Welcome Home on a Monday Hippty Ippity Hop!

Happy Monday!  What a weekend! Aaron and I went to a "mystery party" Saturday night and it was a blast. The host put a name of something on your back and you could only ask yes or no questions to figure out who you were.  I was the octomom and Nancy Palosi.  It was tons of fun.

Anyway onto what you came here to see. LOL!
Once again I was inspired by my card magazines. I don't have it here with me while I type this so I can't tell you what amazing artist inspired me. I will update that after I get home today.

Isn't this house too cute.  I used my Ippity stamp set from the fall line, Devoted (the house stamp) and Simply Home set (the sentiment).   I used my Martha Stewart fringe scissors to cut that grass... boy is it quick.
Here they are!

Here is my card.  The whole thing!

I used my copics to color, my chalk inks, PTI ribbon and kraft paper, cosmo cricket dp and my white gel pen. Very quick and easy, especially when you get the idea from the magazine!
Well I have to get going.

Have a GREAT Monday!
The list keeps on growing!

It's Friday and that means it's time to HOP! & a new Blog Candy Winner!!!!

Good morning!
Yes I am typing this first thing this morning because I was out running errands until 8 last night and my computer never came out of its bag.
Anyway when I purchased the Card Creations magazine I also purchased the Stamp It Cards. I am just loving the inspiration I am getting from these magazines. This weeks card was inspired by Lisa Henke's creation on page 39 in Stamp It Cards magazine.  This is identical to hers except for the papers  and no stitching as I can't figure out how to work my sewing machine (lol).
I used my stamps from the KOM set Following My Heart

I colored in the scene with my copics and sponged some blue for the sky! Can you tell I decided to put some dimensional glue on my sun? It looks cute in person.
My threading is done with my white gel pen.

I used Basic Grey paper from the Lime Ricky set! My orange paper and ribbon is PTI.  My punches for the sentiment and the edge are both SU along with my blue flower button.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Make sure to check out all the talent over at the Unity Blog!

Oh yeah!  Pea never claimed her blog candy so I went to random.org and picked a new winner!

CONGRATULATIONS to.....

AMY MOORE!

Amy please email me you address so I can get this box of goodies in the mail!

Thanks everyone and have a fun hop!

Altered Art! Oh How I LOVE making it!

Happy Wednesday!  I hate rushing through my week as we only live once. I want to savor every minute I have in life but during the week of ISAT (Illinois' Standardized testing) the week can't go fast enough.  I forced myself to create last night despite just wanting to jump into bed at 8pm.  Things could be worse right?

Over the weekend I created this frame for my close friend and co-worker, Kathy. She needed something to give as a gift at a baby shower and asked me to create a frame.  So I did! I just love altering frames.

I used stamps from this Unity set - Shoot for the Moon!

Recipe -
Stamps - Unity Shoot for the Moon!
Ink- Color Box chalk ink - dark blue
Embellishments - Martha Stewart
Paper - Yellow and Blue - Papertrey ink - Designer paper - SU
Other - Mod Podge® Matte & Glossy Finish on Moon and cloud
Frame - Michael's ($2.99)

The entire frame only took a few hours!

Happy Wednesday and have a great week! See you on Friday for the Unity Friends with Flair!
