A weekend without crafting, Oh No!

Crafting is not my favorite thing to go without but I am headed to Chicago for my Aunts wake and funeral. Another not so fun thing to do. Because I am unable to craft and share something new I decided to share something I did over the summer.



This card I call my circus card because of all the colors. The bird is from Stampin up as is everything else except the designer paper and ribbon.

Unity September Challenge Take 2

Here is another card I made for Unity's September Challenge. I just received my LeChic Vintage scrapbook kit and I just had to incorporate something. I had paper and stamps to choose from so I went with a little bit of both.

My paper ~ the green and black strips that border the spider newsprint is from the new LeChic Vintage set while the other paper is all Making Memories.
My stamp -is from the new LeChic Vintage set! I just love this set.
Stickers are from making memories and I make the flowers with my nestabilities SU's build a brad. Lastly the silver cord is SU's.

Dawn McVey Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16 again!

I decided to decorate this stationary holder using Dawn's color challenge colors. Here is the front

and of course the backside.

Since I really wanted to submit something else into Dawn's challenge I decided these cute card/stationary holders that I bought at Ink and Stamp with Sue in Galena, IL would be perfect. They were 50% off so I just couldn't pass it up. This is the smallest of the three. The are heavy cardboard just screaming to be decorated.

Here is what I did and used....

Stamp set is from Unity Stamp Company that can only be purchased before they release to the public. I just love the mailbox. It actually is a standing mailbox but i didn't want that part so I inked around it. The "Everyday life" stamp I just received today in my Le Chic Vintage Scrapbook kit that includes ink, paper and these fabulous stamps. My paper is SEI Dill Blossom
and SU vanilla for the stationary. The SEI paper is one of my favorites. I liked it so much that I bought 2 packs of it (not at the same time). Yeah call me crazy... but I never pay full price... 50% coupons from Michael's are wonderful for this sort of thing.

Unity September Challenge

Here is the card I created for the Unity Stamp Company's September Challenge. You had to use green, purple, orange and black. My goal was to create a Halloween card but I had one problem... I don't own any Unity Halloween stamps. So I glanced at my wooden stamps to see if there was anything I could use and the big clock face was starring at me. Here is what I came up with and I am really happy with it. Stamp is Unity and ink is elegant eggplant. I used SU ribbon, elegant eggplant, pumpkin pie and always artichoke. The stickers are by making memories (cheeky shimmer stickers). The paper is SU always artichoke and the designer paper is from making memories (Halloween).

This is my first official Halloween card.... who shall I send it to or do I need to make 3 more so all our nieces and nephews get one in the mail? Hmm I think I will be making some more!

Raspberry Suite #16 & 2 Sketches 4 You Challenges

Here is another challenge from Dawn McVey! What do you think of these colors? I also used the layout for 2 Sketches For You on this one. Double the challenge... double the fun!





What I used...
Stamp set is from Unity. It is their August set that is available only in stores and is WELL worth it. I just got mine and now the September one is out which is a must have.

My paper is SU except the cream. I used a retired dp, chocolate chip, kraft and more mustard. I used memento brown ink to stamp and a copic marker for the details on the cars.

This card is my anniversary card for my husband. We had our 2nd wedding anniversary today. He had to be out of town for work so we celebrated over the weekend and a wonderful time!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #15

Here is my entry into Dawn McVey's wonderful color challenge.
I used SU colors as I don't have PI's colors. You will see cameo coral, mellow moss, vanilla and pink passion. I used brown ink for the saying and cameo coral for the dots on the vanilla with embossing ink on the pink paper. I love using embossing ink to give just a touch of extra color without changing my original color. The ribbon is SU's from the sale-a-bration catalog. I love this ribbon and have LOTS of it! My stamp is is Dawn's own, Scattered Showers. I also used a punch from SU to punch out "So Happy for you".

Sorry about my poor quality photos. I wanted to get this post up so I took the pictures in my classroom.
